One of the things we love about Kier Mellour is that she tells it like it is and she's unapologetic about being outspoken. Kier's Instagram page @kiermellour is a colorful eclectic collage of gorgeous photos taken of her around the world. Her chameleon-like ability to pull off different and varied looks makes her a fashion insider. But, even better yet, beyond this gorgeous woman is passion, especially for the environment. When you're around Kier, make sure you're not carrying a plastic bottle or drinking out of a straw. ;-) She's an advocate for stopping unnecessary waste and very vocal about it on her "Story" feeds.

What is your favorite quote or life motto?
Oh gosh, I am such a quote girl, I’ve always loved quotes and collected quote books. Two of my favorites are:
“If you could see the secret lives of those you’d most like to punish, you wouldn’t wish any more hurt upon them.” (source unknown) Because I find it to be extremely true and a necessary reminder for a lot of people including myself. You just never know what people are going through and why they may be acting out.
“Rather than love, than money, than faith, than fame, than fairness, give me truth.” Henry David Thoreau … I don’t know why but honesty is the most important thing to me. I usually can forgive you as long as you tell me the truth.
Followers of your Instagram and other social media pages would have to agree that you are a chameleon when it comes to your looks. You have this ability to seamlessly switch into different outfits. So, with that said, how would you describe your overall style if it had to be categorized?
I’d say it’s classic with a twist. I love classic silhouettes but with vibrant colors and prints. I also can’t help but be a little matchy-matchy and sometimes I joke that I’m an old lady trapped in a 20-something’s body.
Since your days on the E! hit reality show House of DVF, has your personal style changed? If yes, how so?
I’d say a little bit but I’ve pretty much always dressed semi close to how I dress now. I didn’t love all my outfits on the show because I had to wear DVF which just doesn’t fit me that well. But, some of those outfits, I’d still wear today.
What's your go-to outfit when you're pressed for time?
Right now I’m loving that slides are in because they’re so easy. I love to grab an a-line mini dress and some coordinating slide sandals and call it a day. If I’m in the city it’s heels instead but my little beach town allows/ (forces) me to dress down a little and wear walkable shoes.
What's your fashion/beauty indulgence?
Handbags. I LOVE handbags and I don’t think I’ll ever have enough. They just fascinate me and are so useful and can last forever so I think they’re worth it.
Which shoe brand/designer do you love the most?
Don’t judge me but I LOVE Jessica Simpson’s shoes. Not just because I work with the brand, I loved her shoes for years before starting my blog and I think I’ll always love them. They’re affordable enough to indulge in frivolous trends and all of her shoes are super comfortable.
What's your favorite shoe style?
I love cage sandals because there is so much you can do with them and they’re so sexy!
What's your go-to pair of shoes?
If my pedicure is not fresh it’s a pair of classic pumps, otherwise it’s a heeled sandal…The Two-strap sandal is super comfortable because they don’t squish my toes and they’re SO sexy!
Just like your style, your hair is always on-point but often styled differently. You recently had rose gold hair but went back to your beautiful signature blonde. What might we expect next? Would you ever chop it off or go brunette?
I’ve been brunette before several times. I love it but it’s too hard to maintain for me. My hair grows fast and the root upkeep is just not worth it. As far as a chop goes, I might someday. I’ve always wanted to have a buzzcut and have fun with a million styles while it grows back out.
What is it that you like about the line of products by Protect My Shoes?
I love that they literally protect my shoes! haha, no but really, I travel a lot and I’m a huge fan of packing cubes and shoe bags but keeping the tissue paper stuffing is so not chic. I feel like such a lady when I pull out my Protect my shoes dust bag and shoes stuffed perfectly (with a fresh scent!) and when you spend several hundred dollars on a pair of shoes, you really want to keep them looking and smelling fresh.
Why did you choose the Love affair pair of shoe inserts and shoe bag?
It’s classic with a twist just like my style! Plus I love to match so I needed a cute (not basic) pair that will go with all my black shoes!
Where would you love to travel to next?
Canada! I’ve never been and it’s beginning to get embarrassing than I haven’t been there yet as it’ so close! Plus, I love the mountains and nature so I really want to go hiking there!
You travel all the time, but Delray Beach has become your home base. Describe a perfect day in this seaside town. What would you recommend visitors do if they get one day in Delray?
Well the beach is a must, I love to go early to get the best sun and face the ocean, then for lunch I’d say walk or ride a bike to Atlantic Ave and get a bite at Martier, It’s so charming and the food is top quality, plus you can visit the shop attached and pick something up to wear for dinner! As for dinner I’d say, seafood is a must. I actually did a post about my favorite places in town!
What inspires you? What are you passionate about?
I love vintage magazines for inspiration. I’m serious about being an old lady trapped in this body! I love retro styles that I can make modern and even the dusty filter on old photos, it’s something I try to apply to my aesthetic.

Let’s get a bit more serious here and talk about the environment. It’s a topic that you are extremely passionate about. What’s something that we can do everyday to reduce unnecessary waste?
Yes… Well the easiest would be to cut out plastic water bottles and refuse straws in your drinks. We use 500 million straws a DAY in the US. They’re just so unnecessary. And the bottles, even if you recycle them, the lids aren’t recyclable sadly.
Another easy way is to use reusable shopping bags. (100 billion plastic bags a year in the US are used once and thrown away) I love the nylon ones that stuff into a tiny pouch; I always have one in my bag, even the tiniest handbags because they literally take up as much room as a plastic bag and are moldable to fit around your stuff.
