Laura Preuss-Kühne is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Her warmth and charm are magnetic. We met at an event in Miami last year and hit it off right from the get go. And then, as we're talking, we realize that not only do we share the same zodiac sign (Leo), but also birthdays (August 14). Originally from Germany, Miami has been home to Laura for over two decades. Knowing Miami so well and combined with her international background, Laura is at the top of her game in real estate. With that being said, family is most important to her. We're excited for you to learn more about this powerhouse that we admire.

There are so many quotes I love! But I would have to say that these three have always stuck in my head:

You have such an interesting background. Please share with us a little bit about you.
I was born in Hamburg, Germany and 24 years ago my parents decided to make Miami home! My mother had spent her childhood summer's visiting family on Key Biscayne. My Father grew up in Spain, so the strong Latin influence in Miami was a match made in heaven for him (plus he is a golfer- and being able to hit the golf course year round was a major selling point😅). I've lived abroad in Switzerland and the Carribean and ultimately came back home to attend the University of Miami with a B.A in business law & international relations. I am an avid traveller (I think I have been to 32 countries!), but Miami has my heart and for now would not want to live anywhere else!
How long have you been in real estate and what is it that you love about the Miami market?
Ever since I was a little girl, I was surrounded by my parents' real estate ventures and it's many aspects (development, interior design, etc) and entering the real estate world full time about 5 years ago felt like a space I naturally would excel in. I am a huge lover of architecture and design, but most of all I am a big people's person. Trust, ethical practice, communication and market knowledge are the foundations of my practice, and this has led me to build very strong relationships in the business. The Miami real estate market is hard to compare to any other, it offers an abundance of different products suitable for every walk of life. Miami offers a lifestyle that I truly believe no other city in the U.S does. It is such a vibrant place, a melting pot of all nationalities! Miami is sexy yet sophisticated, in the last 2.5 years we have become the epicenter of finance, tech, crypto... and it's only up from here!
To date, what would you consider your greatest accomplishment?
I automatically want to talk about work, but what I think really matters above all is my relationships with those closest to me. So I would say my strong relationships with friends, family and clients.
What is one fact that most wouldn’t know about you?
I feel happiest around nature and animals, and if you were to put me to work on a farm you wouldn't have to ask me twice haha!
When you’re not working, how do you spend your time?
I am a big foodie, I love to cook at home and try out new recipes. I love to entertain - cooking for others is definitely a love language for me. At the same time I am always scouting Miami's hottest new restaurants.
What does a perfect day in Miami look like for you?
Starting my day with some sort of workout. I love Barry's Bootcamp or a long bike ride on the Boardwalk, and dipping right into the ocean after that. To end the day, I would say getting together with my family/friends with some good food and wine!
Now let’s talk fashion! How would you describe your personal style?
I would describe my style as classic and that less is more. Investing in pieces that will last me a long time, versus keeping up with the latest trends. I am actually not a big shopper, but when I do want to buy a few new things, I always go online. I find malls overwhelming!

Amal Clooney & Angelina Jolie
What’s your go-to outfit when you’re pressed for time?
You can't go wrong with a great pant, a good quality body suit & a tailored blazer (I love Veronica Beard & Cinq a Sept). Add a killer heel and you're out the door!
What’s your fashion or beauty indulgence?
I LOVE facials. I am currently obsessed with The Super Glow facial at Sana Skin Studios in Wynwood. Alina is the best.
Which shoe brand and style do you love most?
The Gianvito Rossi Leather Portofino sandal is my favorite. I have all colors and can be in them for 8 hours!
What is it that you like about Protect My Shoes?
You've meshed functionality with fashion in the most perfect way. Until Protect my Shoes, there hasn't been anything on the market that women would want to purchase. Before I met you, and learned about your company, the only shoe stuffers that would come to mind were those heavy, clunky wooden shoe inserts! I believe that shoe stuffers are such a necessity (especially for travelling!), for us woman who like to indulge in nice shoes, and you've created something so pretty and practical!
What’s your dream travel destination?
Scotland & Ireland are high on my list. I love the moody weather, perfect for ending the day near a fireplace!

Tequila reposado, neat. Straight to the point😅
If you could have dinner with three special guests, who would they be?
Honestly, my parents and my sister. Family time is the most precious to me.
